So yesterday I met with a real estate agent at Avalon Park. Apparently, Avalon is currently all sold out of the newest townhomes, but there was one available that had only been inhabited a year. It was the plan I wanted, two bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs, and a 17x13 loft upstairs--can you say "library"? I knew you could--but it was, I believe, a bit overpriced. It was priced at roughly $14,000 above what they are charging for new places, and the only improvement the tenant had made was installing blinds. There are still shower curtains, rather than doors, on the bathtubs, and the owner hadn't seen fit to install tile or laminate flooring or any fun stuff like that.

But it is a nice community.

They did tell me that for the new stuff, they'd be holding a lottery today where you give them a big check and they get you a spot on the waiting list.

I hated to ask Will to go there for me this morning, but school starts for me at 9 AM on Saturdays and I couldn't do both. And trying to get an A in this class is very important to me. So I sent Will off with what I thought was all the info he'd need. Apparently I did well on the directions and stuff but I forgot to tell him the name of the model we wanted. However, he was able to find the rep lady I'd talked to yesterday and get it sorted out.

We're now 17th on the wait list there. Pending seeing if there are any houses in the Orlando area we'd prefer, and pending seeing if I can afford this place. It's a little pricey and I need to make sure I can handle the whole mortgage myself. Of course, Will will be helping with the house payment in lieu of the rent he pays now at our current apartment, but I've definitely learned a few lessons about the impermanence of living situations during the four years I've spent in Orlando.

In other happy news, Will's 21st birthday is Monday, so we're planning a bunch of activities surrounding that.

And in still further happy news, Will and I have been together for twenty months now, making this officially my longest relationship ever!
