Yesterday we made some magic.

I had been asked by a friend of mine to perform a handfasting for him and his girlfriend and two of their friends--a double ceremony, on the beach.

I brought my boyfriend along because he's ordained, and together, with friends and family at Ormond Beach, we did it.

We bound two pairs of souls together, not with the approval of the state, but with the approval of the elements, the sun and earth.

I've never felt anything quite like that before.
