2002-03-28 - 10:02 a.m. New Jersey has released a study saying that black drivers are more likely to speed than white ones. Is that true, or are they just more likely to get caught? This is New Jersey, after all. Or maybe the rest of the nation outside the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut hadn't heard of the allegations of racial profiling? It's rough. I saw interviews with NJ police who now won't pull black drivers over at all for any reason even if they drive by 15 m.p.h. over the speed limit, with eye contact with the cops, because the cops are afraid of being accused of racial profiling. Where does it end? bah. Megan the Red Queen
