Yesterday, I bought a new toy for the cats. It's another feather-on-a-stick, which is one of their favorite things. Yukon loves his catnip mice, but Cinnamon couldn't care less about those, though she does love dry catnip.

So last night I got out the new feather toy and the old feather toy and a bag of catnip. I sprinkled both cats liberally with the catnip, which gets them all hopped up and they look like opium addicts. Then Will and I started playing with the feather toys. Cinnamon hasn't jumped that high since last year when she was a kitten. Yukon was just a maniac as usual, but he's more of a swatter. Cinnamon just flies when she jumps.

I was using the velociraptor description from Jurassic Park for her because it seemed appropriate, especially when you're contrasting her with Yukon. "Cheetah speed. Fifty, sixty miles per hour, if they ever got out in the open. and they're astonishing jumpers... That one, when she looks at you, you can see she's working things out."
