OK, why do people bother to call when they clearly are mentally SO far ahead of me?

"Client states that she is trying to use (web program) and that it has locked up. Advised client that the website was not down and that it was likely that it was isolated to her machine. Client states that that is not possible because IE would not lock up on its own. Advised client that IE does lock up but client states that she has never seen it and so it is not possible that that has occurred. Asked client to use Ctrl + Alt + Delete and check to see if the process was actually listed as 'not responding.' Client states that since she is using Windows 2000, she cannot use Ctrl + Alt + Delete but must 'instead' use Task Manager. Advised client that Ctrl + Alt + Delete can bring up the Task Manager as well but client states that that is not possible. Client ended task on IE and restarted. It froze again. Advised client she might need to clear temporary internet files or restart the computer but again she states that that is not true because she has never needed to clear those files before and she restarted the computer yesterday. Advised client that Windows is designed to function best with a reboot at least once a day but client states she does not need to try that."
