OK, do these people have brains? I just got a call from a lady in Arizona. It was 6:30 AM there. Not exactly business hours, but we do have people working. Just not desktop techs--they have normal business hours.

Anyway, this lady reported a problem yesterday afternoon at 4:10 PM her time, and she called saying that it had not been fixed yet and that she had EXPECTED it to BE FIXED by the time she got in this morning.

Count that. Fifty minutes of time she allowed these techs to fix an issue that was only affecting her. Screw all those multiple-person issues.

Whatever.

Mark works with me in this queue and he starts at 6 AM Eastern time. He gets calls at that time from people in Maryland (of course, also Eastern time) who can't access websites in San Jose and MAKE MARK PAGE PEOPLE AT THREE IN THE MORNING, SAN JOSE TIME.

You know what? The fact that you think that you should be able to do your performance review or whatever at 6 AM Eastern instead of 3 PM or whatever is not enough reason to page out a tech three time zones away. Learn to deal, baby.

People have NO CONCEPT of time.
